The protective layer wears off over time.
Headlight lenses are plastic, protected at the factory by a UV-resistant lacquer. Sun, washing and road grime wear it down over the years, the plastic oxidises and turns yellow or milky. The light scatters and the lamp throws less light onto the road.

- 01 Inspection: we look at the lamps and tell you whether polishing can fix them.
- 02 Masking: we tape off the bumper and paint so nothing is damaged.
- 03 Machine polishing in stages until the lens is clear again.
- 04 UV-protective coating, so the lamp does not yellow again soon.
Toothpaste and lemon do not replace the protective layer.
Home methods (toothpaste, lemon, baking soda) only scrub the top layer, and without protection the lamp often yellows again quickly. Machine polishing removes the damaged layer and the coating gives new protection.

How long does it take?
Polishing a pair of headlights takes about 1–2 hours. You choose the day and time online and we expect you at the agreed time.
How much does it cost?
From 21,990 HUF for the pair. For larger cars (estate, SUV, van) 22,990 HUF. All prices include 27% VAT, and you see the price before you book.
How long do they stay clear?
Much longer with the UV-protective coating than without protection. Exactly how long depends on where the car is parked and how much sun it gets, so we do not promise a specific number of years. With a ceramic coating (+9,990 HUF per pair) it can last even longer.
When does polishing not help?
If the lamp is damp inside, cracked, or the lens is deeply damaged, polishing cannot fix it. We check this at drop-off and tell you whether polishing makes sense.
