I. Definitions

Other terms used in the GTC shall have the meaning defined by the Civil Code (Act V of 2013) and the applicable sectoral legislation (specifically: NGM Decree 19/2014 (IV.29.), Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.), Government Decree 151/2003 (XI.22.), GDPR).

III. Material and Personal Scope of the GTC

  1. Material Scope: These GTC cover all sub-processes of car service, car detailing, and rental activities (hereinafter collectively: Services), including online booking, preliminary quotes, and on-site fulfillment.
  2. Personal Scope: Binding on all Clients who order services, enter into a rental agreement, or access the Website.
  3. Temporal Scope: The GTC effective on the day of appointment booking, rental agreement, or work order signing shall always apply to the Client.

V. Formation and Amendment of the Contract

  1. Online booking: constitutes an offer; the contract is formed upon the Service Provider’s email or
    SMS confirmation.
  2. In-person or phone order: becomes binding upon signing the work order / rental agreement.
  3. Advance Payment: the Service Provider may request a 30% advance payment for certain works or rentals; failure to pay this means the contract is not concluded.
  4. Amendment, Cancellation:
    • service/detailing: ≥ 24 h before the booked appointment is free; 24–4 h: 5,000 HUF admin fee; 4 h: 20% labor fee charge;
    • rental: between 48–24 h: 20% of the rental fee, within 24 h: 1 day’s rental fee.

VI. Fees, Payment Terms

  1. Our prices are gross, in HUF, and include 27% VAT.
  2. Accepted payment methods: cash, bank card (VISA, Mastercard, Maestro), bank transfer, SZÉP Card (for cosmetic services, if permitted by law), online bank card (Barion/Stripe).
  3. Late Payment: according to the Civil Code 6:155. § + 4,700 HUF admin fee after every commenced 30 days.
  4. Invoicing: electronic invoice connected to the NAV-online system in PDF format.

VII. Warranty, Guarantee, and Liability

  1. Service and Detailing Works:
    • Guarantee for new parts and coatings according to the manufacturer’s terms.
  2. Rental Vehicle: the renter is obliged to use the vehicle as intended. Damages, fines, lost keys, documents, refueling and cleaning fees (extra cleaning from 35,000 HUF) caused by the renter’s fault shall be borne by the renter.
  3. Limitation of Liability: the Service Provider is not liable for lost profits or indirect damages arising from the Client’s business activities. The upper limit of compensation is the amount of the disputed service/gross labor fee, and in the case of rental, 100% of the contractual fee.

VIII. Insurances, Incident Management (Rental)

  1. CASCO Deductible: shall be borne by the renter, unless a ‘Super CDW’ deductible reduction package is purchased.
  2. Accident / Theft: immediate police report + Service Provider 24/7 helpline (☎ +36 30 424 8883).
  3. Replacement Car: provided subject to availability, for an additional fee.
  4. Settlement of Service Costs Abroad: only with prior phone authorization.

X. Data Protection and Information Security

X. Intangible Assets and License

  1. The entire source code, brand marks, and database of cardoc.hu are protected by copyright.
  2. The content of the Website may only be downloaded for personal, non-commercial use. Screen-scraping, automated data mining, API reverse engineering are prohibited.
  3. The Service Provider grants the Client a revocable, non-exclusive, geographically limited license to view digital reports, but does not permit their reproduction or public distribution.

XI. Force Majeure

In case of war, strike, act of terrorism, natural disaster, network or energy provider outage, or epidemic restrictions, the Service Provider is exempt from its contractual obligations until the obstacle is removed.

XII. Termination of Contract, Notice

  1. Service / Detailing: upon completion of work and settlement of the fee.
  2. Rental: upon proper return of the vehicle and settlement of the final invoice; extraordinary termination according to the Civil Code 6:373. § is possible.
  3. Termination by the Service Provider: serious breach of contract, provision of false data, reason for damage prevention.

XIII. Complaint and Redress Procedure

  1. Written Complaint: to info@cardoc.hu or postal address; response within 30 days.
  2. Conciliation Body: Budapest Conciliation Body (1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99.).
  3. Online Dispute Resolution: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
  4. Jurisdiction: the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Court, unless consumer law provides otherwise.

XIV. Amendment of GTC

The Service Provider is entitled to unilaterally update the GTC (e.g., changes in pricing, legislation). The amendment is effective from the 5th day following its publication on the Website, unless the Service Provider orders it with immediate effect for serious reasons. Contracts already in progress are governed by the GTC valid at the time of acceptance, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.

XV. Other Provisions

  1. Partial Invalidity: if any point of the GTC is invalid, it does not affect the validity of the other points.
  2. Language of Documents and Communication: Hungarian; an unofficial English translation may be provided for assistance, but in case of discrepancy, the Hungarian text shall prevail.
  3. Electronic Signature: a contract concluded with an e-signature, eIDAS qualified certificate, or authenticated email shall be considered a private document with full probative force.
  4. Archiving: the Service Provider shall retain contracts digitally, in an unchanged form, for 8 years.

These GTC form an inseparable part of any work order, rental agreement, and booking placed on the Website by the Service Provider. By using the Service, the Client declares that they have read, understood, and accepted the GTC.
